The Scott test is a colorimetric spot test used to help identify organic chemicals and gives a reaction to cocaine, diphenhydramine, lidocaine, and others.

Procedure:
-Add a small amount (~25mg) of chemical sample with the Scott’s Test (pink color).
-If a + test is observed (pink to blue).
-If the color remains pink, add a few drops of acetic acid.
